Project
Yale University Art Gallery
New Haven, Connecticut
Founded in 1832, the Yale University Art Gallery is the oldest university art museum in the western hemisphere. Originally designed by Yale architecture Louis Kahn, a master renovation project brought much of the spaces back to Kahn’s original vision. DVS provided security consulting and engineering services for the project. As part of the renovation, DVS designed a new security operations center for the museum. The project also brought the museum up to the security standards of the American Alliance of Museums, a key industry guideline required for the inter-museum lending of artwork and artifacts.
