DVS performed a detailed threat and risk assessment and security programming exercise for the historic site, which accommodates approximately 3-4M visitors per year.  The project included the Statue of Liberty National Monument and Island, Ellis Island Immigration Museum, Historic Battery Park, and the Circle Line Ferry routes.  DVS developed a series of security-enhancing recommendations, while considering the project mission of minimizing impact to the visitor experience.   Recommendations included site selection for the new security and screening operations, identification of appropriate security equipment and systems, facilities design, ticketing and concessionaire security policies and procedures.
