Project
Croton Water Treatment Facility
Bronx, New York
The Croton Water Treatment Facility project, one of the largest infrastructure projects in New York history, involved the construction of a water filtration plant capable of delivering over 290 million gallons of water per day to New York City’s water supply. DVS, a division of Ross & Baruzzini, assisted in the development of a Threat and Risk Assessment for the facility, which was then translated into a security program and schematic design. That program was then used to inform an architectural, structural, and electronic security systems design, including vehicle interdiction systems, screening, video surveillance, alarm monitoring, and access control. Scope included full design and engineering services for these systems, as well as construction administration and oversight.
