University of Connecticut Health Center, Campus Master Plan
DVS was retained by the State of Connecticut and University of Connecticut Health Center to develop a Security Master Plan and then a complete campus-wide security system design for the 25-acre UCONN health center campus, which includes over 50 buildings. Original funding for the project was provided by the Department of Homeland Security. As part of the project, DVS designed a campus wide access control system, emergency “blue light” call system, vehicle controls, video surveillance, and a site-wide fiber optic communication network. DVS also worked with the campus police department to design a new public safety control room to support the project.
